Long ago, on a summer night in a quiet valley, a boy was waiting for something, when a girl walked out of the dusk into the warm light of the front porch… a sudden smile, a quick step, a flash of hair, and she was gone. The boy didn't quite know what to make of how he was feeling… but prayed and spent the rest of the evening trying to catch another glimpse. The boy grew into a young man, and noticed the girl become a young woman. She was diligent, patient, servant-hearted, and across the rooms and years he thought he could see a spark of something extra special. After much over-thinking and many years… he took a chance. He got to know this young woman. She was far more than he imagined… funny, adventurous, tender, fascinating, and forgiving. Godly, wise… and loving. She was incredible. He prayed a *lot*. He laughed more than he ever had. He prayed even more.

On Monday, Feb 29th, the young man took the young woman to the spot where long ago he first saw that she was beautiful, and tried to ask her to marry him.

She said yes before he could drop to a knee to ask…
